“Abandon yourself to this nostalgic evocation of a lost era and it’s hard not to fall in love”
Alice Saville, Time Out
As the weather turns colder and moviegoers everywhere pull their sweethearts a little nearer, The Cycle Of Love, has announced a special return to cinemas on Sunday 1st November in partnership with select VUE cinemas.
Dogwoof has also announced that The Cycle Of Love will be available on digital platforms across the UK from 2nd November 2026 via both EST and TVOD on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, BFI Player, Sky Store, and YouTube. The film received its World Premiere at the Telluride Film Festival and has captivated audiences worldwide since, including CPH:DOX and Sheffield DocFest 2026, prior to opening in UK and Irish cinemas on 18th September 2026.
In 1977, PK, a 23-year-old Delhi street artist from a poor, ‘untouchable’, family, picked up a
handful of paintbrushes and a second-hand bicycle and set off on a 6000-mile cross-continent mission – to find Lotta, the woman who had captured his heart on a visit to India. A love story like no other, The Cycle Of Love, is an inspiring, heart-warming, epic true-life adventure about the search for self-belief and risking everything for what your heart tells you.
With exclusive access, the multiple Academy Award-winning team behind Virunga, The White Helmets and Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If you’re a Girl), bring this beautiful, thrilling and life-affirming tale to life. The team had access to all of PK and Lotta’s archive photographs, videos and an extraordinary treasure trove of love letters to authentically tell this story.
The Critics Choice Association has honoured the film with two Documentary Award nominations: Best Director and Best Cinematographer and Chirag Benedict Lobo, who plays Young PK, has been longlisted in the Breakthrough Performance category at this year’s BIFAs.
The Cycle Of Love is a Grain Media and Kalabati Pictures production, in association with BD4, Tudip Entertainment and AMPL, Artemis Rising Foundation, and Priyanka Chopra’s Purple Pebble Pictures.
