Bombay Superstars, the highly anticipated theatre production, is set to enthral audiences with its explosive storyline filled with scandal and intrigue. Bombay Superstars is a scintillating concert musical that delves into the disco, divas, and drama that shaped Bollywood icons. Set against the backdrop of 1970s Bombay, the musical unfolds a scandalous battlefield of ambition, desire, and betrayal. The story follows an orphaned girl, shunned by society, who arrives in the city of dreams to meet the famed director, Pavan Picturewalla. As he struggles to protect a long-held secret from his beloved daughter Mala, who is in love with rising actor Arjun, Pavan is drawn into new turmoil. Meanwhile, superstar Bunty schemes to transform the young orphan into Rani, helping her claim her rightful place in the glamorous world of Bombay Superstars.
Created by visionary Sâmir Bhamra, Bombay Superstars features classic Bollywood hits like Bachna Ae Haseeno and Dum Maro Dum, alongside new songs by Robby Khela and musical arrangements by Hinal Pattani. This romantic musical promises a dazzling night of entertainment.
The musical version will be running from Friday 8th – Sunday 17th November at Beck Theatre, Hayes.
