The forthcoming film ‘Arafat-E-Ishq,’ starring Neha Sharma, has been in the headlines from its first announcement on Zee5 Global, the world’s largest streaming platform for South Asian entertainment. ZEE5 ratcheted up the excitement by releasing an interesting trailer for the film, which will not only make spectators laugh out loud but also keep them on the edge of their seats. The film will premiere on ZEE5 Global on October 29th, with an ensemble star cast that includes Namit Das, Deepak Dobriyal, Amit Sial, and Ila Arun in important parts.
The teaser features Neha Sharma as Lallo, a young woman on a quest for true love in a never-before-seen role. However, after a sequence of several fatalities, she becomes a major suspect. Lallo believes she is cursed, just like the suitors of Laal Pari, a mythical cursed lady who perished as soon as they fell in love with her, when all of her suitors start dying in bizarre tragic incidents. What remains to be seen is whether Lallo will find her fairy tale true love, or whether she will be condemned to wander the kingdoms of earth alone and loveless.
‘AafatEIshq,’ directed by Indrajit Nattoji and produced by Zee Studios, is a dark dramedy with supernatural undertones and a whodunnit twist.
“Aafat-E-Ishq is my Indian heartland version of ‘Liza, the Fox-Fairy,'” director Indrajit Nattoji said. Aafat-E-Ishq is an adaption, not a remake, as far as I can tell. A reimagining with fresh twists, unique original music, and odd small-town Indian people.
“It was acting 101 for me as my character, Lallo, is so different from anything I’ve done previously,” actor Neha Sharma said. Because Lallo comes from a tiny town in India’s heartland, I had to put in a lot of effort to master the local accent and Hindi diction. I also had to get a makeover because I’ll be seen in a very low-key position. However, because Lallo is so distinctive and one-of-a-kind, it was one of the most gratifying characters to play. It’s now time to bring this labor of love to life, and I implore my followers to show their support for Lallo on October 29th on ZEE5.
