A spiritual sequel to the 2007 superhit Taare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par has kept audiences excited ever since its announcement. Now, the first official poster of the highly anticipated film has been unveiled, along with the announcement of its release date: 20th June 2025.
The newly released poster, featuring Aamir Khan alongside ten debutant actors, hints at yet another joyful, refreshing and enchanting tale on the horizon. With Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan Productions introduces ten promising new talents: Aaroush Datta, Gopi Krishna, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra and Simran Mangeshkar. Captivating and full of promise, the first look has sparked excitement, offering a glimpse of something truly special from Aamir Khan, a film that radiates love, laughter, and happiness in equal measure.
Audiences will also witness Aamir Khan’s eagerly awaited return to the big screen, this time opposite the widely admired Genelia Deshmukh, in what promises to be one of the most awaited performances of the year.
The film is directed by R. S. Prasanna, best known for the barrier-breaking blockbuster Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. He also produced and directed On A Quest, a biopic on Swami Chinmayananda Saraswathi, the visionary teacher who inspired the formation of the Chinmaya Mission, a global spiritual organisation dedicated to the Vedanta philosophy of self-realization, spiritual wisdom, and inner liberation. Known for blending humour with heart, Prasanna has consistently delivered thought-provoking and captivating cinema that challenges norms and connects with audiences across generations – and Sitaare Zameen Par promises to be no exception.
Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh. The film features lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, a music score composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with a screenplay penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma. It is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with Ravi Bhagchandka as producer, and directed by R. S. Prasanna.
